Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of BleepOn — from the marketing site to the full product where you upload media, generate transcripts, and export censored audio and video. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to what follows.

The Agreement

These Terms of Service form a binding agreement between you and BleepOn, Inc. ("BleepOn", "we", "us"). They cover the BleepOn websites, the web app, our APIs, and anything else we label as part of the "service". If you are agreeing on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

Your use of BleepOn is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your data. Together these two documents define the full relationship between you and BleepOn.

02

Accounts & Access

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account, and old enough in your jurisdiction to form a binding contract. You are responsible for keeping your credentials, API keys, and impersonation tokens confidential, and for any activity that happens under your account.

  • Provide accurate information when you sign up and keep it current.
  • Use a strong password or sign in with Google OAuth.
  • Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
  • Do not share a single account across many users — invite teammates to your workspace instead.
03

Acceptable Use

BleepOn is a tool for filtering profanity in media you are authorized to process. You agree not to use the service to:

  • Upload content you do not own or otherwise have the right to process.
  • Process audio or video that depicts illegal content, including CSAM or non-consensual intimate media.
  • Harass, defame, or deceive others — for example, by using BleepOn to edit a recording in a way that misrepresents what a person said.
  • Reverse engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract the underlying models, word lists, or training data.
  • Interfere with the service, bypass rate limits, or access other customers' data.
  • Resell BleepOn output as a stand-alone transcription or censoring API without a separate written agreement.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules. For severe or illegal content, we reserve the right to report to the relevant authorities.

04

Your Content

You keep all ownership of the audio, video, transcripts, captions, and custom word lists you bring into BleepOn — collectively, "Your Content". Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership to us.

You grant BleepOn a limited license to host, copy, transmit, process, and display Your Content solely to operate and improve the service on your behalf. This license ends when you delete the content or close your account, except to the extent we are required to keep copies for legal reasons or anonymized aggregates that cannot be traced back to you.

05

Our Service

BleepOn provides a pipeline for transcribing media, detecting profanity against configurable word lists, generating captions, and producing censored or burned-in exports. We may add, change, or remove features over time to improve quality, security, or the product roadmap.

Automated transcription and profanity detection are probabilistic. We work hard to make them accurate, but you are responsible for reviewing the output before publishing anything that matters — especially in broadcast, education, or legal contexts.

06

Plans & Billing

BleepOn offers free and paid plans. Paid plans are charged through Stripe, Paddle, or Lemon Squeezy depending on your region. Unless stated otherwise, fees are quoted and charged in US dollars, exclusive of taxes, which we or the merchant of record will add where required by law.

Billing cycle
Monthly or annual, starting on the date of your first paid subscription and renewing automatically until cancelled.
Cancellation
Cancel anytime from your account settings. You keep access until the end of the current billing period.
Refunds
We offer pro-rata refunds for annual plans within 14 days of purchase. Monthly plans are non-refundable, but you can cancel before renewal.
Price changes
We will give at least 30 days' notice before any price change takes effect on your next renewal.
Failed payments
After repeated failed attempts, we may downgrade your account to the free tier or suspend access until payment is resolved.
07

Uptime & Support

We aim for 99.9% monthly uptime on paid plans, excluding scheduled maintenance and events outside our reasonable control. We monitor availability around the clock and will publish incident updates when our status changes.

Support is available by email for all customers. Response times depend on your plan — business and enterprise plans include priority support with documented SLAs.

08

Intellectual Property

The BleepOn platform, including our software, brand, marketing site, documentation, and any trained models, is owned by BleepOn, Inc. and protected by intellectual property law. Feedback you share with us may be used without restriction or compensation to improve the service — we appreciate it, but we can't treat each suggestion as confidential.

If you believe content on BleepOn infringes your copyright, send a takedown request to legal@bleepon.com with the details required under applicable copyright law.

09

Termination

You can close your account at any time from settings. When you do, we delete your projects, uploaded media, and transcripts within 30 days of active storage and 90 days of backups, subject to the retention rules in our Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially breach these Terms, create risk for other users, or fail to pay fees after reasonable notice. Where possible, we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix the problem.

10

Disclaimers & Liability

BleepOn is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties — express, implied, statutory, or otherwise — including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that transcription and profanity detection will be perfectly accurate.

To the extent permitted by law, BleepOn's total liability arising out of or relating to these Terms will not exceed the greater of (a) the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the event that gave rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred US dollars. Neither party will be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

11

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to their personal jurisdiction.

If you are a consumer in the EU, UK, or another jurisdiction with mandatory local consumer protections, nothing in these Terms limits the rights those laws give you.

12

Changes & Contact

We update these Terms when the product, our sub-processors, or the law changes. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be announced by email or an in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use BleepOn after a change means you accept the new Terms.

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
